REFUND POLICY

Jarhead Mobile Diesel – Refund Policy (California Compliance)

This Refund Policy governs all repair, diagnostic, maintenance, and related services provided by Jarhead Mobile Diesel (“we”, “us”, “our”) and applies to customers (“you”, “your”) receiving service in California.

We are committed to compliance with California consumer protection laws, including requirements that service terms and refund practices be clearly disclosed and not deceptive. California DOJ Attorney General

1. General Policy Statement

California law allows businesses to set their own refund and return policies. However, any limitations (including “no refunds” or “final sale”) must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed prior to purchase or service. Accordingly, the terms below constitute our complete refund policy for services and parts.

2. Diagnostic Fees

  • Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once work has been initiated or performed.

  • Diagnostic fees cover travel, assessment, and use of diagnostic equipment.

  • If you authorize repair work following diagnostics, the diagnostic fee may be credited toward labor charges at our discretion.

3. Labor Charges

  • Labor charges for work performed are non-refundable after the labor is completed.

  • If you cancel services after labor begins, you are responsible for all labor completed up to the point of cancellation.

4. Parts and Materials

  • Special-order parts (ordered specifically for your vehicle) are non-refundable once ordered.

  • Standard parts that remain unused may be eligible for refund if:

    • They are returned within 7 calendar days of your service date,

    • They are in new, unused, resalable condition, and

    • The original supplier accepts the return.

  • Any supplier restocking fees or handling charges will be deducted from the refundable amount.

5. “All Sales Final” / No Refund Policy

  • If any of the foregoing terms indicate that a particular product or service is sold on a “final sale” basis, such limitations have been disclosed to you prior to purchase in accordance with California law. California DOJ Attorney General

  • Failure to disclose such a policy in writing prior to purchase may entitle the consumer to a refund under California consumer protection standards.

6. Warranty Remedies

  • If work or parts fail within an express warranty period (if one applies), we will comply with the terms of that warranty and applicable repair law.

  • California’s automotive repair laws (enforced by the Bureau of Automotive Repair) require transparent documentation and authorization for work performed and provide avenues for review or complaint if a customer disputes the service outcome. Bureau of Automotive Repair

7. Dispute Resolution

If you believe that our services or refund decisions violate California consumer protection laws, you may pursue remedies available under those laws, including:

  • Filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair or the California Department of Consumer Affairs; Bureau of Automotive Repair

  • Seeking private legal remedies under applicable statutes such as the Consumers Legal Remedies Act (CLRA).

  • Arbitration or small claims-court resolution consistent with applicable contract terms.

8. Notice and Documentation

  • All refunds will be processed using the original method of payment.

  • Refunds typically require 5–10 business days to process, depending on the payment processor.

  • For disputes, you agree to provide all relevant documentation, including work orders, invoices, and repair records.

9. Updates to Policy

  • Jarhead Mobile Diesel reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time.

  • The version in effect at the time of your service will govern your transaction.
